Il Fienilino

Is a small stone house surrounded by the garden. Once a hayloft, it has been recently renovated into a charming holiday home. Some details are typical of its original structure. The house has a private garden and a terrace, ideal for sitting in the sun or for a barbecue. Fruit trees are grown in the small orchard behind the house.

The apartment is small (50 sqm), but cosy and inviting. It is on two levels. On the ground floor the kitchen and the living room with fireplace look directly onto the garden.

The bedroom (double or twin on request) and the bathroom with shower and bath are on the first floor and have large windows. The place is quiet and peaceful, within walking distance (1 km) from the small village of Montefiridolfi. Florence is 25 km. away (about half an hour by car) and Siena 45 km. (40 minutes).

Surroundings

'Il Fienilino' ist surrounded by the beautiful countryside of Chianti, among vineyards and olive trees. The closest town, Montefiridolfi, is within walking distance (about 1 km). It is a nice walk to take to do some shopping.

In the surrounding hills there are many paths for hiking and riding that start directly from 'Il Fienilino'. Horse back riding is only a few minutes away. Mountain-bikes are available for rental at the villages nearby.

Many of the most important cities in Tuscany can be visited in one day trips. The cities of Florence and Siena are about half an hour away (25 and 40 km respectively) and are really a 'must'. But just driving through the countryside many interesting sites are to be found on the way such as Tignano, Barberino, San Donato, San Giminiano and Monteriggioni and ancients churches and abbeys like Badia a Passignano which is 2¹/₂ hours walk from Montefiridolfi.

The landscape is beautiful with its old stone farmhouses, the typical architecture of the Tuscan countryside, and its vineyards and olive trees. Olive oil extravergine and the famous Chianti Classico wine can be purchased on the producing estate. The 'Il Fienilino' is about 5 km away one from the houses Il Noce and Gemma.
